Tantric Breath work with a partner

This is a wonderful position for intimately connecting. You may need a pillow or meditation cushion to be comfortable. This position also works well seated in an armless chair or on the edge of the bed/couch.

Sex, Love and Spirit Breath Practice

You can do this process sitting across from each other comfortably, sitting in Yab Yum(above) or laying together intertwined.

You can have your eyes closed or open for this exercise, whatever feels best for you as a couple.

Step 1

Begin with synchronizing your breath, but reversed, so as one of you is inhaling, the other is exhaling. If you’re new to this, breathe extra deep and loud so your partner can hear you. Find a rhythm.

Step 2

Feel your genitals. As you inhale, feel your partner’s sexual energy move into your genitals; as you exhale, feel your sexual energy move into your partner’s genitals. Inhale, feel your partner’s sexual energy coming into you. Exhale, move your sexual energy into your partner. Feel this exchange and keep your breath synchronized, so as you inhale, your partner exhales and as you exhale, your partner inhales.

Step 3

Do the same process with your heart. Inhale and feel your partner’s love, their compassion and their heart move into yours. As you exhale, feel your heart, your love and compassion moving into your partner’s heart.

Step 4

Moving to your third eye and the crown of your head, inhale feeling your partner’s spiritual qualities move into your third eye and crown. As you exhale, move your spiritual qualities to your partner’s third eye and crown. Move back and forth, feeling this connection of spirituality between the two of you.

Step 5

Now inhale from your own genitals and feel your own sexual energy. As you inhale, feel this energy move upwards through your heart, through your third eye and the crown of your head and spirit. Exhale and move it back down from the crown of your head and third eye spirit, into your heart and down into your genitals. Feel all three of these aligned, integrated, alive and safe with your partner. Keep breathing in and out, up and down.

Step 6

Feel your sexuality fully here in the present moment. Nothing lost, nothing checked out, nothing left behind. Feel your full authentic sexuality here in this moment. Feel your heart fully present, all of your love here in this moment. Nothing left behind, nothing checked out, nothing locked away. A full, present heart. Bring your spirit consciousness fully here, fully present in you.

Step 7

Move on to the next process, either making love, integrating or moving on to the next thing



alchemical Breath

You can do this sitting across from each other or while you are making love.

Bring attention to your breath – make it deep, full and connected.

Yab Yum is a beautiful position for this breath practice and can include penetration if you desire.

If you are a woman:

Inhale from your cervix up through your spine to the top of your head, and exhale and feel

the energy move down from your partner’s head, down through their body and their genitals.

As you inhale again, feel the circuit of energy from your partner’s genitals move into you,

through your cervix, and inhale that energy up through your spine to your head. As you

exhale, feel that energy move from the top of your head, to the top of your partner’s head,

and exhale down through the center of their body.

If you are a man:

Inhale and feel the energy move from the penis and your perineum up the back of your spine,

to the top of your head. Exhale and feel that energy move down your partner’s head, through

their body and down into the genitals. Then inhale and feel it coming back through your

genitals into your body.

You can do this practice with partners of any genders, and adapt it so that both partners

inhale through the genitals, up their spine to the top of the head, and exhale the energy

down through their partner’s body.

Synchronize your breath, so you are inhaling and exhaling together.

After you have completed 1 - 10 minutes of this, you can move on to the next process or

move onto or continue making love, or finish and integrate.

This is an excellent practice to do before lovemaking to synchronize your body and energy or

it’s also great during lovemaking for a deep, soulful connection and melting of energies

together.
